South Korean actor Kim Seon ho is under fresh scrutiny after a Sports Kyunghyang Report suggested possible tax evasion practices that mirror those currently in the spotlight in ASTRO's Cha Eunwoo case. According to the report, Kim may have established and operated a private corporation that, authorities suspect, was used to divert earnings and reduce taxable income — a structure similar to the one under investigation in Cha Eun-woo’s matter.

The corporation in question was reportedly established in January 2024 and registered at an address in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Documents show that Kim Seon-ho served as the company’s CEO, with his parents appointed as internal director and auditor. Business registration filings list a wide range of activities from performance planning and advertising services to real estate sales, though entertainment planning was not registered under the required cultural licensing standards.

Investigators unearthed indications that the company’s bank accounts were used to pay family members substantial monthly salaries, which were then allegedly transferred back to Kim Seon-ho’s personal accounts. Reports also suggest that corporate credit cards were used for personal expenses, including lifestyle costs and a luxury vehicle, raising questions about whether business expenses were inflated to reduce corporate tax liability.
Legal analysts observe the parallels with the ongoing Cha Eun-woo tax review, particularly regarding the use of family-run corporations and income allocation that may fall outside typical entertainment industry practices. Some experts suggest the similarity between the two cases could draw attention to broader industry compliance issues and possibly implicate the actor’s agency, Fantagio, if knowledge or involvement in the arrangements is confirmed.

Fantagio acknowledged the existence of Kim Seon-ho’s corporation, claiming that it had been inactive for over a year and was undergoing closure, but maintained it was unaware of any legal issues arising from its formation. As of now, neither Kim Seon-ho nor Fantagio has addressed the tax allegations directly, and no formal legal charges have been reported. The situation remains under scrutiny as industry observers await possible statements from tax authorities or official legal filings.
Pending further updates, this development adds complexity to Korea’s expanding narrative on celebrity tax compliance and the legal scrutiny faced by high-profile entertainers.
