SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA – December 29, 2025 – ADOR (All Doors One Room), the HYBE subsidiary label home to global K-pop group NewJeans, announced today the immediate termination of exclusive contract with member Danielle. The label stated the decision was made following a thorough review of alleged breaches of contractual terms, and confirmed the group will continue promotions as a four-member act moving forward.
According to reports from Korean and international media, including Forbes and ChosunBiz, ADOR has terminated Danielle’s exclusive contract, prompting reports that NewJeans may continue promotions as a four-member group.
In an official press release issued at 10:00 AM KST, ADOR stated: “After careful deliberation and in accordance with the terms outlined in her exclusive contract, we have formally terminated our agreement with Danielle Marsh, effective December 29, 2025. The decision comes after repeated violations of contractual obligations related to professional conduct and external commitments that conflicted with the group’s scheduled activities and long-term development plans.”

The label did not disclose specific details of the alleged breaches, citing confidentiality agreements and respect for all parties involved. It emphasized that the decision was not made lightly and followed multiple attempts at resolution over the past three months.
NewJeans, which debuted in 2022 as a five-member group (OT5) with members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein, has achieved unprecedented global success, with hit tracks including ‘Attention,’ ‘Hype Boy,’ and their 2025 chart-topping single ‘Galaxy.’ The group was set to embark on their second world tour, ‘Cosmic Journey,’ in February 2026, with stops across Asia, North America, and Europe.

ADOR confirmed that all scheduled tour dates will proceed as planned, with the remaining four members preparing revised stage arrangements and set lists. Additionally, the label stated that work on the group’s upcoming studio album originally slated for release in March 2026 will continue, with adjustments to reflect the new lineup.
“We deeply apologize to fans who have supported NewJeans as a five-member group,” the press release continued. “Minji, Hanni, Haerin, and Hyein are fully committed to honoring their responsibilities to the group and their audience. We ask for understanding and continued support as we navigate this transition together.”As ADOR According By Korean news Soompi
Danielle’s legal representation released a brief statement in response, noting: “We are disappointed by ADOR’s decision and believe the matters in question do not warrant contract termination. We are reviewing all available options to protect Danielle’s rights and professional interests, and will provide further updates in due course.”
The news has sent ripples through the global K-pop community, with the hashtag #NewJeansOT4 trending across major social media platforms within minutes of the announcement. Fans have expressed a mix of concern, support for both Danielle and the remaining members, and questions about the future direction of the group.
Industry analysts note that while lineup changes are challenging for established K-pop acts, NewJeans’ strong foundation and dedicated fanbase position them to maintain their market presence. The group is scheduled to make their first public appearance as a four-member act at the 2025 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) on December 31, where they are nominated for multiple categories including ‘Artist of the Year.’
ADOR has stated that it will provide additional information about tour preparations and album updates in the first week of January 2026.
