1. Basic Information
His full name is Jay Lawrence Gaspar, born on April 21, 2004, in Muntinlupa, Philippines. He is 21 years old and a Taurus. He was the only Filipino contestant on Universe League and topped the finals with 3,168,841 votes.
2. Prior P-pop Debut
Before joining AHOF, he debuted in March 2023 as the youngest member of P-pop boy group Pluus under SBT Own. Nicknamed the "Nation's Giant Center", the group released songs like "Amigo" and "Shining Star" and was the first P-pop act to perform at South Korea's Waterbomb Festival in 2024.
3. Impressive Dance Background
He has worked as a backup dancer for South Korean superstar Psy in a commercial for Solaire Entertainment City and for Filipino artist AC Bonifacio in a dance cover of BTS' "On". He was also part of local K-pop cover groups before his debut.
4. K-pop Fan Turned Idol
JL is a dedicated K-pop fan who posts dance covers of groups like BTS, Stray Kids, and Treasure on his YouTube channel. He particularly admires NCT's Ten, who was his mentor on Universe League.
5. Solo and International Milestones
In June 2025, he made his solo debut with the single "Alon". He is also among a growing list of Filipinos debuting in international idol groups, joining names like Sophia Laforteza of Katseye and members of UNIS.
