ALPHA DRIVE ONE, the eight-member group formed through Mnet’s hit survival series Boys II Planet, released the highlight medley for their debut mini-album EUPHORIA, building unstoppable momentum ahead of their official debut on January 12, 2026. The medley, which previews all six tracks from the record, racked up over 35,000 YouTube views in its first hour online, a testament to the group’s rapidly growing global fanbase.
Formed on September 25, 2025, following the finale of Boys II Planet, Alpha Drive One is a multinational ensemble composed of four South Korean, three Chinese, and one Australian members. Handpicked from thousands of global applicants, the group includes leader Leo, center Sangwon, and other members who already boasted prior performance experience before joining the survival show. Their fandom, named ALLYZ in November 2025, carries the meaning "always being with fans," reflecting the group’s promise to stand alongside their supporters every step of their journey.
The EUPHORIA highlight medley offers a first listen to the group’s diverse sound, from the pulsing synths of title track Freak Alarm to the fiery energy of Raw Flame and the catchy rhythms of Cinnamon Shake. The full six-track album also includes Formula, Chains, and Never Been 2 Heaven, each showcasing distinct musical styles: Chains features a dreamy piano melody symbolizing the bond between members, while Never Been 2 Heaven evokes retro vibes reminiscent of classic cassette tape recordings. Two tracks on the album are reimagined versions of songs the members performed during Boys II Planet, reworked to reflect their growth and unified identity as a group.
Since announcing their debut, Alpha Drive One has rolled out a series of promotional content that has kept fans engaged, including animated tracklist posters released on December 24, 2025, and "Star Road" concept films and photos shared on December 29. The concept material follows a narrative of eight individuals coming together to share a single dream, depicted through day and night versions that highlight both the group’s bright, energetic side and their more emotional, cohesive dynamic.
Fan excitement has translated into strong pre-release metrics: pre-save numbers are climbing rapidly, and merchandise including Jewel Case versions of the album is drawing significant interest. ALYZ members have rallied across social media, hosting hashtag parties and sharing dance clips reacting to the highlight medley, with many praising the group’s bold beats and standout B-side tracks.
A live countdown event is scheduled for January 11, one day before the album release, and the group will mark their official debut with a global showcase titled The First Alarm on January 12. Broadcast simultaneously on Mnet, M2 YouTube channel, and Mnet Plus, the show will feature the first-ever live performances of Freak Alarm and other tracks from EUPHORIA.
Under management by WakeOne, Alpha Drive One’s name embodies their ambition: "Alpha" represents their goal to be the best, "Drive" symbolizes their passion and motivation, and "One" signifies their unity as a team. With their debut album, the group aims to deliver what they call "K-pop catharsis," capturing the euphoria of their long-awaited debut and the journey that brought eight dreamers together as one.
