ITZY member Yuna is stepping into a new spotlight as she officially makes her acting debut in tvN’s upcoming drama “Undercover Miss Hong.” The series is set to premiere on January 17 at 9:10 p.m. KST, introducing Yuna to viewers in a role far removed from the concert stage.
In the drama, Yuna plays Hong Jang-mi, a free-spirited young woman navigating life in a 1990s Seoul office setting. The story follows elite inspector Hong Geum-bo, portrayed by veteran actress Park Shin-hye, who goes undercover as a rookie employee to investigate suspicious workplace activities. Yuna’s character becomes a key presence in the office, adding youthful energy and emotional warmth to the retro-inspired storyline.
Early teaser clips have already generated buzz online. Yuna appears with striking red hair, casual baggy denim styling, and expressive on-screen chemistry that has drawn praise from fans and drama viewers alike. Director Park Sun-ho commented in recent promotional materials that Yuna showed “impressive natural growth” in her first acting project, despite taking on a supporting role.

“Undercover Miss Hong” blends comedy, mystery, and nostalgic office culture, offering a fresh twist on the undercover-agent genre. The series will air weekly on tvN, with international streaming available through Netflix on weekends.
With anticipation building ahead of its premiere, Yuna’s transition from idol performer to actress marks an exciting new chapter and fans are eager to watch her shine in this next stage of her career.
