Min Hee-jin’s legal representatives are set to hold a press conference at noon KST, where they are expected to present new evidence related to the ongoing dispute surrounding NewJeans and their label, ADOR. The announcement has reignited public attention on one of the most closely watched legal conflicts in the K-pop industry.
According to prior court filings and statements, the press conference is intended to counter allegations that Min improperly influenced NewJeans members to sever ties with ADOR. Central to the dispute are claims involving private communications with a senior executive from an unnamed external company, which ADOR and its parent company HYBE have cited as evidence of misconduct.

The controversy began in April 2024 after HYBE launched an internal audit into ADOR’s management. What started as a corporate governance issue quickly expanded into public accusations of plagiarism involving rookie group Illit, followed by Min’s removal from her CEO position. NewJeans members later voiced support for Min, escalating tensions between the artists and their agency.

In response, NewJeans filed lawsuits seeking to terminate their exclusive contracts, alleging mistreatment and loss of trust. ADOR has denied the claims and filed countersuits, maintaining that contractual obligations remain valid. The legal back-and-forth has placed the group’s future activities under uncertainty, while fans and industry observers closely monitor each development.
[Editorial Update:]
Industry analysts note that this case could set a precedent for how artist loyalty, creative control, and executive authority are handled within multi-label K-pop corporations. Regardless of the evidence presented, the dispute highlights growing friction between artists and management in an industry undergoing rapid structural change. The outcome may influence future contract negotiations across major entertainment agencies.
As the press conference approaches, attention remains focused on whether the new materials disclosed will reshape the legal narrative or further deepen an already complex conflict.
