K-pop boy group ONF and WM Entertainment have agreed to part ways following the expiration of their exclusive contracts, the agency confirmed in a joint statement on social media earlier today. The decision marks the end of an eight-year partnership that began with the group’s debut in 2017.
WM Entertainment’s announcement expressed gratitude for ONF’s contributions and growth over nearly a decade. “We thank ONF for their hard work, creativity, and dedication throughout their time with WM,” the statement read, emphasizing support for each member’s future endeavors. The agency also noted that all parties have “mutually agreed to pursue different directions at this stage of their careers.”

Formed through WM’s trainee system, ONF quickly gained notice with their unique blend of pop and electronic influences, earning a strong international fanbase through projects such as ONF: My Name and participation in music shows and global events. Dedicated fans praised the group’s artistic evolution and emotional performances, qualities that helped the group stand out in a competitive market.
Although no new agency affiliation has been publicly confirmed for the members including leader Hyojin, E-Tion, MK, Wyatt, U, and J-Us insiders suggest that individual paths may soon unfold, including solo music, acting, or production work.
Fans took to social platforms to share memories of ONF’s journey, highlighting the group’s musical range and impact. Many expressed continued support, emphasizing that changes in management need not diminish the group’s legacy or future success.
As ONF embarks on the next phase of their careers, observers note that the split reflects broader industry trends in contract renewals and evolving artist ambitions within the K-pop landscape.
