Manon Bannerman from KATSEYE is taking a break from group activities to focus on her health, the group’s management said Friday. KATSEYE, the six-member girl group from HYBE and Geffen Records, explained that everyone including Manon’s bandmates fully supports her decision.

The official statement says Manon, who’s 21, will step away from scheduled events and promotions so she can rest and recover. They didn’t share exactly what’s going on with her health, but made it clear that her well-being comes first.

HYBE x Geffen’s full statement:
"Hello.
After open and thoughtful conversations together, we are sharing that Manon will be taking a temporary hiatus from group activities to focus on her health and wellbeing.
We fully support this decision. KATSEYE remains committed to showing up for one another and for the fans who mean everything to us. The group will continue scheduled activities during this time, and we look forward to being together again when the time is right.
Thank you to our EYEKONS for your continued love, patience, and understanding.
HxG"
KATSEYE will keep up with their plans, like their set at Lollapalooza next month, but they’ll perform as five for now. The group hopes Manon will be back soon and asked fans to be understanding while she’s away.

Fans, who call themselves EYEKONS, wasted no time showing their support online. Messages and hashtags for Manon started trending, and she let everyone know she’s okay and grateful for all the love.
The group and their management promised to keep fans updated and thanked everyone for respecting Manon’s privacy.
