Lee Heeseung, formerly of the global K-pop group ENHYPEN, stepped into the public eye on Tuesday for his first official appearance since announcing his solo career and rebranding as EVAN.
The artist attended a promotional event for a global colored contact lens brand held at the Musinsa Megastore in Seongdong District, Seoul. Dressed in a sharp black suit and sporting a striking new blond hairstyle, EVAN greeted fans and photographers with a warm smile, posing with heart gestures and maintaining a friendly, approachable demeanor throughout the session.
This appearance marks a significant milestone for the singer, coming just weeks after his official departure from ENHYPEN and the launch of his new identity.
"I will approach fans step by step with music that fully captures my most honest and natural self," EVAN stated when he announced his new name on April 8. He explained that "EVAN" is a name he has cherished since childhood, symbolizing a fresh start and a more authentic version of himself.
EVAN originally debuted in 2020 as the eldest member and main vocalist of ENHYPEN, quickly gaining recognition not only for his powerful vocals but also for his skills in songwriting and production, contributing to tracks like "Highway 1009" and "Dial Tragedy."
His decision to leave the group was announced on March 10, with agency BELIFT LAB confirming that he had established a clear musical direction and would pursue independent activities, while ENHYPEN would continue as a six-member act.
Now, as he embarks on this new chapter, industry observers and fans alike are eagerly watching to see what artistic direction EVAN will take, as he transitions from a group member to a standalone artist.
