BLACKPINK has taken a major step toward their highly anticipated 2026 comeback, with pre-orders for their new studio album now available via the group’s official Chinese merchandise store, operated by partners of their label YG Entertainment.

The development was first revealed on Tuesday when the store shared screenshots on Chinese social media platform Weibo at approximately 3:00 p.m. Beijing time. The images displayed a dedicated pre-order page on Ktown4u CN, the Chinese version of the popular global K-pop commerce platform, titled “BLACKPINK 2026 Comeback Album Advance Reservation”.

This announcement comes after YG Entertainment first confirmed the group’s full-group return in November 2025, stating the release would arrive in January 2026. It marks BLACKPINK’s first collective musical project since their 2022 album Born Pink, which broke multiple records including becoming the first album by a female K-pop group to reach number one on the Billboard 200 chart.
Fans and industry observers have noted the Chinese store’s track record of reliable early updates: ahead of the Born Pink release in 2022, the store shared teasers and pre-order details a full month before the official global announcement, making it a trusted source for early news about the group’s activities.
The news has sparked widespread excitement across global fan communities, known as BLINKs. On social media platforms including Twitter/X, Instagram, and Weibo, fans have shared enthusiastic reactions, created viral memes, and debated potential release timelines and tracklists. Many have expressed relief that the comeback is finally moving forward, following years of rumors and speculation about the group’s future plans amid individual solo projects and schedule commitments.
While specific details about the album’s title, tracklist, and exact release date have not yet been officially confirmed by YG Entertainment, the launch of pre-orders signals that the group’s long-awaited return is imminent. Industry analysts predict the album will break new records, given BLACKPINK’s sustained global popularity and the pent-up demand for new music from the quartet.
As of press time, YG Entertainment had not responded to requests for additional comment, but fans and media outlets continue to monitor official channels for further updates about one of the most anticipated K-pop releases of the year.
