JYP Entertainment confirmed today that ITZY’s Yuna will make her official solo debut with a new album slated for release in March 2026, marking another milestone in the multi-talented star’s rising career. The announcement comes via a report from Sports Kyunghyang, which noted the idol has already begun filming the music video for her lead single, signaling the final stages of preparation for her first standalone project.

Yuna will be the second ITZY member to launch a solo career, following leader Yeji, whose debut album AIR released in March 2025 earned widespread acclaim, including a spot on British magazine Dazed’s list of the “30 Best K-Pop Tracks of 2025”. According to industry sources, Yuna’s album will showcase her full artistic range, highlighting the clear vocals, dynamic rap skills, and stage charisma that have made her a fan favorite, while revealing new sides of her artistry not fully explored during group promotions.
The debut arrives during a period of unprecedented momentum for the 22-year-old artist. Beyond music, Yuna is establishing herself as a versatile entertainer through her expanding acting portfolio. She will make her official drama debut on January 17, 2026, in tvN’s Undercover Miss Hong, starring alongside award-winning actress Park Shin Hye. In the 1990s-period drama, Yuna plays Hong Jang Mi, a lively young woman with a passion for 90s hip-hop who uses her makeup expertise to assist her sister’s undercover work. She has also secured a role in a second tvN drama, Favorite Employee, a romance series adapted from the webtoon My Oppa is an Idol. In this project, she will portray a top actress alongside leads Kang Hoon and Kim Hye Joon, with filming already underway ahead of a 2026 premiere.
Yuna will balance her solo and acting commitments with ongoing activities with ITZY. The group will kick off their third world tour, Tunnel Vision, from February 13 to 15 at Seoul’s Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium, with the final show streamed live globally via Beyond Live. The tour, named after their November 2025 EP of the same name, will visit 9 cities across Asia and Oceania, including stops in Melbourne, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Manila through mid-July3,11. The EP’s title track marked ITZY’s first music show win after all five members renewed their contracts with JYP Entertainment in September 2025.
Since debuting with ITZY in 2019, Yuna has built a reputation as an all-round performer. She has earned recognition for standout solo stages, including her 2022 cover of Lee Hyori’s U-Go-Girl at the KBS Song Festival, which became the event’s most viewed solo performance and earned praise from Lee herself, and her 2023 cover of Jennie’s You & Me at the SBS Gayo Daejeon. She previously showcased her songwriting skills on Yet, But, a solo track included on ITZY’s 2024 album Born to Be, which she co-wrote and co-composed.
With her solo debut, acting premieres, and world tour all unfolding in the first half of 2026, Yuna is poised to solidify her status as one of K-pop’s most promising multi-hyphenates. JYP Entertainment has stated that more details about her solo album, including the exact release date and tracklist, will be announced in the coming weeks.
