JYP Entertainment’s global K-pop powerhouse NiziU is gearing up for a major milestone in 2026, announcing the release of their highly anticipated second Japanese extended play (EP), Too Bad, scheduled to debut on April 1 in Japan.
The forthcoming EP marks the group’s first Japanese project in nearly two years since their debut EP RISE UP in July 2024. Fans in both domestic and international markets are already buzzing with excitement as NiziU ramps up their activities for the year.

JYP Entertainment revealed that Too Bad will feature a collection of three new tracks, including the title song of the same name. The new material is described as an energetic and self-assured representation of the group’s evolving artistic identity, showcasing NiziU’s growth and determination to “chart their own future,” a narrative expected to resonate strongly with their global fanbase. Additionally, the EP will include a special song with lyrics co-written by the members themselves, offering a deeper connection to their supporters, known as WithU.
Alongside the EP release, NiziU announced an ambitious arena tour across Japan titled “NiziU Live with U 2026: NEW EvoNUtion”. The tour will span five major cities, including Aichi, Hokkaido, Osaka, Tokyo, and Fukuoka, delivering a total of 12 performances. The tour kicks off on February 14 and runs through March 29, providing an early 2026 highlight for fans eager for live experiences after a busy 2025.

Industry observers note that NiziU’s continued focus on both creative input and expansive touring reflects their strategic positioning as one of the leading female groups in Asia’s competitive pop landscape. With strong chart performances and notable achievements in 2025 already under their belt, expectations are high for what promises to be a defining year for the group.
