AHOF and More Artist Selected for Fan-Voted Webtoon OST Project 'Match Point'

AHOF has been chosen among 30 standout acts to compete for the chance to record and release Part 13 of the popular Kakao Webtoon ‘내가 죽는 이유’ (I Die For This Reason / The Reason I Die) original soundtrack.

BNT News reports that the “Match Point OST” project, organized by BNT and co-hosted by Rematch and Yogurt Studio, officially launches on May 22. This marks the first domestic initiative where fans directly select the main vocalist for a webtoon OST through app-based voting  shifting away from traditional closed-door casting by agencies and producers.

AHOF, the nine-member group formed through SBS’s Universe League survival show and managed by F&F Entertainment, brings significant momentum to the lineup. Debuting in July 2025 with their EP Who We Are, the multinational act  featuring members Steven, Jeongwoo, Woongki, Shuaibo, Han, JL, Juwon, Chih En, and Daisuke from South Korea, China, Japan, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Australia  has quickly built a dedicated international fandom. Their name, short for “All-Time Hall of Famer” (and echoing the Korean word for “nine”), reflects ambitions of leaving a lasting legacy in the industry.

The webtoon ‘내가 죽는 이유’ enjoys strong acclaim, boasting a near-perfect 9.9 reader rating for its compelling narrative and emotional depth. Previous OST contributors like An Yesl, Woo Hana, and Lydia have enriched its storytelling. Winning artists will sign with Yogurt Studio, record the track, and benefit from joint promotion by BNT and the studio  offering visibility and career growth beyond a one-off release.

Voting unfolds in two stages on the Rematch app: preliminary rounds run from May 22 to June 5, advancing the top five to finals (June 8–22). The winner earns the official spot for Part 13.

This fan-driven format creates exciting synergy between webtoon enthusiasts and idol supporters. Industry observers note it could set a new standard for IP collaborations, with plans to expand into drama OSTs. For AHOF, participation represents another step in connecting with fans while showcasing their vocal talents on a high-profile project.

As the competition heats up, anticipation builds around which act  potentially AHOF  will capture the hearts of voters and bring fresh energy to one of Kakao Webtoon’s beloved titles. Fans can join the journey starting May 22 on the Rematch platform.
